Something feels off.

You can get good photos sometimes…

but the process still doesn’t feel consistent.

What is wrong?

  • It's ok but...

  • It doesn't match what I see...

  • How do I make the camera do _?

  • This worked last time but doesn't now...

The problem isn't your camera.

It’s the gap between what you saw and what you captured

You should know:

  • What's working.

  • What's not.

  • What needs to change.

  • How to repeat strong results.

The SEE Workshops give you the foundation you can rely on.

See Clearly

Recognize what's actually working visually

Approach Intentionally

Know what you want the photograph to do—and make decisions that support it.

Repeat Results

Create stronger images consistently.

A Clear, Repeatable Method

Photographer Mode

Get out of your head and actually observe what’s in front of you.

The P.A.U.L. Process

A repeatable way to build stronger images intentionally.

Camera Command

Understand how your tool interprets what you see - and how to use that intentionally.

20+ YEARS BEHIND THE CAMERA

After more than two decades working professionally as a photographer, I've learned that stronger photographs don't come from knowing more settings. They come from learning to see clearly, make intentional decisions, and know what to change when an image isn't working.

That's why I created SEE—a repeatable process built from the foundation I wish I'd understood much earlier in my own photography.

Now I teach that process to you.

I think that's the sweet spot. It accomplishes three things quickly: professional experience → insight earned from that experience → a teachable process for the participant. And importantly, it positions “foundation” as distilled expertise rather than beginner material.

Most shooters can only do one of these with confidence.

Technical

Know how to make the camera create the result you want.

Light. Perspective. Exposure. Focus. The appropriate tool for the photograph.

Conceptual

Know what you want the photograph to communicate.

What matters. What doesn't. What to emphasize. What to leave out.

THE SEE WORKSHOP BRINGS THEM TOGETHER

Decide what you want the photograph to do—then know how to make it happen.

SEE the Difference

The Better Photographer Guarantee

Attend the complete Level 1 workshop and participate in the exercises. If you don’t leave understanding how to approach a photograph more intentionally and create stronger results, I’ll work with you personally until you do.

Every participant to date has demonstrated improvement during the workshop.

This is an improvement guarantee, fulfilled through additional personal instruction rather than a refund.

The SEE Workshop - Level 1

One day to change the way you approach photography.

You'll learn the process, put it into practice through guided shooting exercises, review your results with Paul, and make adjustments in real time.

The goal isn't to leave knowing more about photography. It's to leave knowing what to do when you're standing there with a camera and the photograph isn't working.

Still not sure if it's right for you?

Call me at 203-921-7022. Tell me where you are with your photography and where you want to go. I'll tell you whether SEE Level 1 is the right place to start.

What will I be able to do after Level 1?

You’ll be better equipped to recognize what is and isn’t working, determine what needs to change, choose the appropriate tools and approach photographs more intentionally.

Instead of guessing or relying on memorized recipes, you’ll have a process you can apply to different subjects, equipment and circumstances.

Participation in Level 1 qualifies you for participating in Level 2.

Who is SEE Level 1 designed for?

Level 1 gives you a foundation without assuming previous training, and fills the gaps that experienced photographers were never taught.

It can support new photographers and experienced photographers who understand their equipment but still feel inconsistent, stuck or unsure what to change when a photograph isn’t working.

Do I need an expensive or professional camera?

No. The principles and process apply regardless of equipment. Bring the camera or phone you genuinely want to use.

The goal is not to convince you that you need better equipment. It is to help you understand how your current tool sees and how to use it more intentionally. The exercises we use apply to both cameras and phones.

Will I have to memorize camera settings?

No. Circumstances change, so a setting that works for one photograph may fail in another.

You’ll learn a repeatable process for determining what the photograph in front of you needs, choosing the appropriate camera tools and evaluating whether the result matches your intention.

What should I bring?

Bring your camera or phone, any lenses you regularly use, fully charged batteries, available memory cards and anything you normally need for a full day of photographing.

Phone participants are encouraged to bring a portable battery pack.

You’ll receive any workshop-specific preparation and arrival information after booking.

What happens if I cannot attend my scheduled workshop?

All workshop registrations are non-refundable.

If you notify us at least 28 days before your scheduled workshop, you will receive a one-time credit for the amount paid toward another available SEE workshop. Credits have no cash value, are subject to availability and must be used within 12 months of the original workshop date.

Requests received between 14 and 27 days before the workshop will be considered, but a date transfer cannot be guaranteed. A transfer may be approved if your original seat can be filled and space is available in another workshop.

We will make reasonable efforts to fill your original seat through our waitlist or other interested participants. However, we cannot guarantee that a replacement will be found, and we are not responsible for reselling or transferring your registration.

You may also request to gift or transfer your registration to another person. Replacement participants must be submitted for approval at least seven days before the workshop and must be approved by the instructor as a suitable participant. Approval is not automatic, and the instructor’s decision is final.

Cancellations, transfer requests and no-shows within 14 days of the workshop forfeit the full registration fee.

If Paul Is Everywhere cancels a workshop, you may choose a full refund or transfer the amount paid to another available workshop.
